Sorry for the radio silence from us. The last few months have been a whirlwind for sure. There’s a lot to do when you are completely changing your life!
Jake and I both had our last days at our jobs on the 24th of March.
Apartment packed up, sold off, and gifted all by the 30th.
And so begins, as Jake calls it, our “Goodbye” tour. I like it. It makes me feel like an aging rockstar. Which, let’s be honest, I kind of am.
After everything was packed up, my parents picked us and our remaining positions up and we said goodbye to Seattle.
The next week we got to spend with my parents in their new home in northern Washington State.
We had some friends visit, made a trip out to Lopez Island to visit my grandparents, and had an all-around relaxing week as Jake and I slowly adjusted to our new life of no possessions, and no schedule.
Now we are on a train headed to Portland to spend time with our Portland friends and family.
It’s really more of a “see ya later” tour, but that doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
No job.
No home.
Very few possessions.
Plane tickets bought and a few places booked, but other than that – No plans. No obligations.
What will this next year have in store?
We just can’t wait to find out!
